What facilities are on
site
Camping:
With your entry for the weekend you get 2 nights camping in
idyllic bush camp grounds. Each camp site is flat grassy
tree lined with easy access for all vehicle types. All camp
sites have no power so if you need power please supply your
own. We provide the best portable toilet facilities
including facilities for people with disabilities. Due
to drought conditions we unable to supply showers. Please
bring your own drinking & washing water. Most basic needs
are available at local towns or a short drive into
Singleton.
There are
two camp grounds available. One for families who need an
earlier night and morning and a general camping area for
those who might like to stay up later and sleep
later. Follow the marshals and signs on the property when
you arrive.
Catering: The local community group and RFS provide a
casual catering facility. If you want to pick up a casual
meal, they do great Bacon and Egg rolls for breakfast and
steak/sausage sandwiches for lunch. Dinner is a selection of
chicken schnitzels or steaks with vegies and salad – you
will not go hungry.
If you wish
to pre-pay your meals for the weekend, see above
information.

The concept
of a split field has worked very well in the last few years.
Half the field will battle it out on the ramp first thing on
Saturday morning with the other half having a crack on
Sunday morning. The same applies for the Mystery Night Event
and Mudrat’s Revenge.

How do
I get there
From
the North
Easiest way from the north is via Singleton on the
New England
Hwy. If you are travelling down the
New England Highway,
then it is the next major town after Muswellbrook. If you are
travelling down the Pacific Hwy, then veer off to the right as
you cross over the
Hunter
River
and head through Maitland.
As you come into Singleton, look out for the sign to
Windsor. This
will take you onto the Putty Road. Travel approx 25km along the
Putty Road and
watch out for the Milbrodale Road to Broke. Note that this is
approx 8km past the small township of Bulga where there is a
general store for your last minute supplies. Turn left onto the
Milbrodale Rd and then almost immediately to the right, over the
cattle grid and into Welsh's Rd.
From the centre of
Sydney,
1.
|
Cross the Harbour Bridge
and proceed along Pacific Highway north to the National 1 (F3)
freeway at Wahroonga |
2.
|
Travel north along National 1 (F3) freeway towards Newcastle
(approximately 1 hour) |
3.
|
Turn off the National 1 (F3) freeway at Cessnock/Kurri Kurri
exit and proceed to Cessnock |
4.
|
As you enter Cessnock along Aberdare Road, turn right at the
first set of traffic lights onto Vincent Street
(following the directional signs to Branxton). Proceed to the
end of Vincent Street. Turn left at traffic lights onto Wollombi
Road (following the directional signs to Branxton) and then
first right at the traffic lights onto Allandale Road, passing
swimming pool on the left and McDonalds? Restaurant on the
right.
|
5.
|
Proceed along Allandale Road.
Five Kilometres out of Cessnock and you will pass the Cessnock
Airport on the left-hand side. |
|
6. |
Turn left 500 metres past Airport into Broke Road. |
|
7.
|
Follow Broke Road for approximately 3 Kilometres to the "T" intersection |
|
8. |
Turn left at the "T" intersection onto McDonalds? Road. |
|
9. |
Turn right on to Broke Road
and continue along until you reach another “T” |
10.
|
Turn right onto Wollombi St, on your right hand side is the
Broke General Store / Servo and your left the Broke Fire
Service. |
11.
|
Turn left onto Milbrodale road and you’re nearly there. Follow
the road until you get to the Tuff Truck Challenge. You will
turn left into Welsh’s Rd. just before Putty Rd. |
